Mud is a unique “live” product of nature, which has started its formation 2.000 years ago by decomposing of flora and fauna products, therefore it is full of microorganisms. The treatment effect is caused by biological, thermal, chemical and mechanical action of mud.
During the therapy:
- tissues and cells are supplied with a larger amount of oxygen and nutritives;
- metabolic processes are stimulated and harmful substances are eliminated from the body;
- Hormonal action and immune system are activated.
Mud therapy has a remarkable regenerating, relaxing, antiseptic, oedema-lessening and pain-relieving effect, therefore it is sometimes used as an alternative for pain-killing, antiseptic and sedative medicaments.
Mud therapies are highly advisable in cases of:
- locomotor/vestibular system diseases (arthritis, poliartrithis, aftereffects of traumas, osteochondrosis, radiculitis);
- disorders in peripheral and central nervous system and breathing system diseases.
Allergic reaction to mud is not observed, however, mud therapy must not be applied in cases of acute inflammations, hematogenic organ diseases, tuberculosis, tumours, also in cases of infectious diseases and varicosis of leg veins.
When starting the mud therapy, doctor’s order is necessary!
